Connecting Library Purchased Content to Google Scholar

Many students start their searches in Google. Is there a way to connect our paid databases to those Google results? Yes, EBSCO already is a partner with Google's linking programs, which means that users can move from a search result in Google or Google Scholar to the corresponding item in an EBSCOhost database by providing a combination of IP- addresses and permanent links to the available resource. This access is available to all IP-accessing customers who subscribe to applicable resources. Participating in the Library Links program allows libraries to expand access to their holdings. To sign up, you'll need an OpenURL-compatible link resolver, such as SFX from Ex Libris, 360 Link from Serials Solutions, LinkSource from EBSCO, or WebBridge from Innovative Interfaces. Note: We do not recommend setting up a custom link for Google Scholar from within the EBSCO EDS because it will show up automatically in search results next to library paid subscription links such as OhioLINK EJC, OVID etc., confusing users as to the real source of the paid content provided to them and sending them out of the thoughtfully constructed Discovery environment.
