When an EBSCO session times out and your users reauthenticate they might encounter this page. Some institutions also link to this page for EBSCO databases in their A-Z list. In the future you will be able to check and make sure you aren't pointing to any sandbox profiles, old versions of your EDS, and databases you don't use. Until the functionality to hide profiles is working in EBSCOadmin Profile Management, you can use the instructions below to reorder your profiles and push those you don't use to the bottom of the page.

DO NOT delete any of your profiles, but you can reorder them (or ask us to do it for you by contacting opalhelp@ohionet.org):

  • From within your EBSCOadmin, go to Go to Profile Maintenance.
  • Click on Reorder profiles, this is a screen where you can define what order your profiles are listed in.
  • Change the numbers in the order fields to rank your profiles. By changing the order you can push unused profiles to the bottom of the page.
  • Submit to save your changes.

Once EBSCO turns on the ability to hide profiles, you will be able to hide unused profiles from view:

  • All the way to the right there's a setting to "Hide Profile on Select Service Page" which defaults to NO but you can select YES.
