The new OSUS (Libraries outside of US) group includes all OCLC interlibrary loan libraries physically located outside the US. By using the OSUS group, libraries in the US can now create a straightforward policy to automatically deflect all loan requests from libraries outside the US.
If you are interested in setting up this deflection, you can do so in the OCLC Policies Directory on the Policies tab by following these instructions.
In the Deflections section, click the Add button to create a new deflection policy.
Enter a Policy Name, select the Request type of Loan, and select the Deflection type of Enable Real Time Deflection.
In the Borrowers section, specify to Include the group Libraries outside of US.
You can optionally add a Note about your deflection policy. Then click Save.
Your deflection policy will look something like this.
