Your Primo link resolver is a combination of your Alma host name, your customer code, and the view code that you want users to see when linking inbound.

https://<Primo_domain>/openurl/<Alma_institution_code>/<view_code>?

Where the base URL includes the following elements:

  • Primo_domain (Alma host name) – Specify the domain for your Primo server.
  • Alma_institution_code (customer code) – Specify the institution code defined in Alma.
  • Primo view_code – Specify the code defined for your view on the View Configuration page. For example: 01MY_INST:MyView.

Example:

Using Franciscan as an example (assuming the main view is the active one) this would be:

https://ohiolink-franciscan.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/openurl/01OHIOLINK_FRANCISCAN/01OHIOLINK_FRANCISCAN:FRANCISCAN?

If you are planning to use a different Primo view at go-live you will need to change the view_code at the end of the URL to match and make sure to include the “?” at the end.
