Is it possible to search for Springer and other ebooks in the EDS by title search or a keyword search with keywords from the title?

The answer is - not easily! The structure of Springer and other ebook records in the EDS often favor or default to the article/book chapter level.

One option is to download .mrc records for vendors and then upload them into a separate catalog in EDS, which is time-consuming and requires regular maintenance.

Alternatively, you can turn on the e-Book index (edsebk) in the EBSCO admin for EDS. This database contains metadata for e-books from multiple publishers. It won't include all Springer e-books by title (what exactly is included is pretty opaque) and you may get some full text finder (FTF) links for books not in holdings management or full text results with no FTF link at all, but it may be worth a try in instances where users are clamoring for a title level search. If the change does not provide enough benefit at your institution, it's easy enough to turn off again.
