  • The Signal - The Signal is a blog on digital preservation from the Library of Congress.
  • Northeast Document Conservation Center - A nonprofit, regional conservation center specializing in the preservation of paper-based materials. Their website contains a number of helpful resources about preservation, including NEDCC’s Preservation Leaflets.
  • Ohio Preservation Council - From their website: “The Ohio Preservation Council is a broad coalition of Ohio libraries, archives, historical societies, and conservation resources. Its mission is to provide a network for preservation education and to support preservation activities within the state. It is supported by members’ dues.”
  • Intermuseum Conservation Association – preservation page - Preservation services available from the nation’s first nonprofit regional art conservation center, in Cleveland, Ohio.
  • BGSU Center for Archival Collections Preservation Laboratory - The CAC could be a source for preservation/conservation advice, particular for storage and handling of candidates for digitization. Eric Honneffer is the conservator here.
  • CoOL page for Digital Imaging - Conservation Online’s list of resources for digital imaging; also contains some information on digital preservation.
  • LOCKSS – Stanford University - LOCKSS (Lots Of Copies Keeps Stuff Safe) is an initiative from Stanford University to provide digital preservation tools to institutions. This may be something to consider for the future of digital preservation in OPAL.
